Explore Xunantunich Maya Temples After your ATV adventure, we'll continue to Xunantunich, one of Belize's most impressive ancient Maya archaeological sites. To reach the archaeological site, you'll cross the Mopan River on the historic hand-cranked ferry. Once inside the archaeological reserve, your professional guide will take you through the ancient Maya city and explain its fascinating history, culture, and significance. The highlight of the visit is El Castillo, the largest structure at Xunantunich. Climb to the top and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding jungle and countryside. You'll have time to explore the temples, plazas, and ancient structures while learning about the Maya civilization that once flourished here.

Traditional Belizean Lunch After exploring Xunantunich, we'll stop for a delicious traditional Belizean lunch. Lunch typically includes rice and beans with stewed chicken, along with other local favorites. This is a great opportunity to relax, enjoy a traditional Belizean meal, and recharge before beginning the journey back.

Return Journey After lunch, we'll begin our return journey toward Belize City. The drive from the Cayo District back to Belize City takes approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Once we arrive in Belize City, you'll return to San Pedro using your selected transportation:

By Boat: Approximately 1½-hour water taxi ride from Belize City to San Pedro. By Plane: Approximately 15-minute flight from Belize City to San Pedro.

Once you arrive in San Pedro, one of our guides will meet you and take you back to your resort.
